Two Best Friends. One Big Idea. Endless Fun.

Michelle and Diana met in the late 80s with gelled-back ponytails, red lipstick, and gold-plated hoop earrings—rocking baggy pants and oversized cardigans with serious attitude, and mystery in their hearts.

Both born and raised in da projects of the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York City, these two proud Puerto Rican women have always brought creativity, grit, and style to everything they touched. For nearly 40 years, they have done everything together—laughing, surviving, having adventures, and throwing legendary murder mystery parties that left their guests begging for more.

Over the years, they tried every murder mystery kit on the market. But something was always missing: the immersive details, the juicy drama, the style, the vibe, the fun. Most kits felt flat, cheesy, or outdated—and definitely not something they were excited to bring to the table. So, like any determined Gen X besties with a flair for storytelling and a healthy obsession with cocktails and costumes, they decided to make their own.

Taboo Studios was born out of love, laughter, and the belief that game night could be so much cooler.
